1. Attend or Book a free trial rehearsal
Choose a rehearsal time and location that works best. We’ll send you all arrival details, what to wear, and how to support your child.
2. Experience the choir community
Your child meets their directors, learns a song, and participates at their own comfort level. You’re welcome to observe and ask questions.
3. Choose your membership
If it’s a fit, select the plan that works best. We’ll set up your membership, share rehearsal expectations, and celebrate your child’s first official day.

What ages can join the OZY Youth Choir?
Our primary choir welcomes school age children and teens. We roughly average ages 7–17. Music unites all ages and we have a welcoming inclusive environment where young people of any age feel appropriately challenged musically whilst having fun. If your child is slightly younger or older, contact us and we’ll help you find the right fit.
Does my child need prior singing experience?
Not at all. Many of our singers begin with little to no formal training. We teach everything from basic pitch and rhythm to blend, harmony, and stage presence. What matters most is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
How long is the commitment?
Memberships are wither annually or by the term. We recommend committing to at least one full term (around 3 months) so your child has time to build confidence, friendships, and performance readiness. You can pause or cancel before your next billing date.
What does a typical rehearsal look like?
Rehearsals usually run 60–90 minutes and include warm-ups, vocal technique, learning and rehearsing songs, and small moments for reflection or team-building. Our leaders balance focus and fun so students stay engaged and energised.
Do you offer financial assistance or scholarships?
Yes. We believe every child deserves access to music and community. If membership fees are a barrier, please reach out confidentially to our team at [email protected]. We work with families to explore options such as partial scholarships or payment plans, subject to availability.
