About the Choir
The OZY Youth Choir Honouring Defence Service INC unites music and history to inspire young leaders while honouring those who died for country and on country. Founded in the lead up to the Centenary of ANZAC, our online choir connects Defence, veteran, First Nations, and multicultural families nationwide. Every voice matters as we champion remembrance, reconciliation, and wellbeing through song. We perform at national commemorations, community events, and international remembrance sites. As a child-safe organisation, we create a culturally respectful, inclusive space where all children are welcome and protected.
Join 10,000 Voices for Reconciliation
Last year, we put 1000 Voices for Reconciliation in the Great Hall of Parliament House Canberra. Next year we plan to grow our voices to 10,000 for Reconciliation Week in May 2026 as we honour the past, heal the present, and shape a united future. Through music, we build bridges of understanding and walk together toward reconciliation. Add your voice. Stand for peace. Sing for change.

Western Front Leadership Tour 2025
In November 2025, a small group of young leaders from The OZY Youth Choir HDS will sing for peace on the battlefields of the Western Front. Through song and story, young Australians will walk in the footsteps of those who have gone before, giving voice to history and deepening their understanding.

Honouring Country
We pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the lands on which we gather and all our presiding traditional owners and elders who are walking with us, including our Ngunnawal and Ngambri elders from the ACT region and our custodians from the Central Desert regions.
